The CubePro is one of the best multi-extruder printers I've ever gotten to use. It is a very reliable machine, has a huge build volume and can produce some very detailed parts. It's not perfect, though, and there are several areas where I would like to see improvement from 3D Systems in future versions of software, firmware and hardware.

The entire experience is definitely geared towards more experienced users, and I do think this is a printer for someone who's been doing 3D printing for a while. It's very large and built with heavy-duty, industrial grade hardware, so it's incredibly durable and powerful, but also a little daunting for a first-time user. The slicing software is also a more "pro" interface, certainly not as cartoonish as MakerWare or Cura. It does all the same functions though, and the advanced options can really let you open up the capabilities of the printer, so that is a big plus for me.

The CubePro does multi-color very well, but could potentially handle multi-material better. Currently it prints in PLA and ABS and while it can print in both simultaneously, the temperature presets it runs for such prints are a little cool for ABS and it can warp sometimes. That being said, you can selectively dissolve ABS from PLA - I've successfully done it - so if you can get a multi-material print to come out well you can do some pretty impressive things.

Lastly, I would like to see a wider material offering for the CubePro - one of the downsides of a closed system - so that I can print materials like Polycarbonate and Ninjaflex like I can on my Rep2X, which I'm confident the printer could do well - probably better than my Makerbot. I have heard 3D Systems intends to release more materials for it in the future, though, so hopefully that will be as simple as a software and firmware update.

We love our CubePro's!!! I'm a high school Science teacher and we just outfit a 3D printing lab in our school with 30 CubePro Duo's and all I can say is WOW!!! We've used a few other desktop 3D printers and I must say this blows the others away for a variety of reasons.

One being the ability to customize your prints with the new CubePro slicing software. The resolution and quality of prints is also fantastic; I've walked into the lab and seen students printing anything from architectural models to intricate gears to new student inventions!

Students love being able to print in 2 colors simultaneously and one might think that the printer might jam or clog or not be able to pull a feat like this off, but it's amazing how well we've been able to print ABS and PLA together... we can't wait for Nylon too ;)

Forgive me for rambling but I have to also point out that we've been printing multiple files simultaneously in one print session which has saved us a lot of time and students are not left fighting waiting for their turn to print! Not sure if 3D Systems added more filament to their cartridges either but it seems like the one Black PLA cartridge we have has lasted us since we got the machine 2 months ago and we've printed every day since!

Just got this 3D printer in my office. It came on a pallet which was weird but once we got it out of the box and registered online it worked great. The setup was much easier than we expected and the on-screen instructions were pretty easy to follow even without reading the manual. It came with some free files which was nice and we printed those first. We've been printing our own designs all week and haven't encountered any issues. Overall, a very cool product.
