Entirely 3D printed slicer for fruits and vegetables

A breakfast with appropriate nutritional value will keep us fresh and active for the entire day. Healthy breakfast should consist of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey in your food system, but the real hard and frustrating thing is that we need to cut all those fruits and vegetables which is time consuming as well. To put an end over this Jerry a mechanical designer from Slovakia has came out with 3d printed slicer that has several advantages.

Just like us he too faced a similar problem everyday morning to prepare fruit salad, as he was explaining to make fruit salad we need to cut fruits into small pieces, here’s where he starts to think over to create 3d printed slicer instead of getting in the local shops. This 3d printed slicer has the ability to adjust, and contain many splitters (hexagonal, circular and many more) and various sized blades for slicing and the most highlighting part is that it anyone can create their own 3d printed slicer using 3d printer.

Probably it might look easier to make a one, but actually it’s not, the test stages proves Jerry wrong that he needs to make changes in the design more reliable and strong as the fist 3d printer slicer couldn’t able to slice the apple and other hard fruits since the splitter is not strong enough to push the apple to cut into pieces. However, the 3d printed slicer managed to slice the soft fruits like banana, but that’s not the alone fruit he aimed for.

Jerry is now working on to create a much stronger slicer which should be capable of slicing all kinds of fruits. It will be more interesting to see what kind of blades he is planning, whether steel blades or something similar that should cut even the hardest fruits smoothly.
