The Prusa i3 is a great starter printer and this kit is an inexpensive entry point. However, acrylic is a very poor choice for portions of this frame. Even with the utmost care, it is difficult not to crack the acrylic when screwing the clamps for the feed rods and even then there is not enough pressure to hold the rods properly in place.

The directions were less and less detailed as the build moved forward, were not updated with the z-axis stepper motor wiring, and did not include a number of steps.

Thankfully, the price of the hardware and electronics are good enough that the need to replace much of the frame in the future isn't a total loss.

Customer service, however, was excellent, with quick email responses and they sent files so that I could 3D print ones that arrived broken and will be able to replace the ones that are cracked or too weak after assembly.

Received in time ... no problems with the printer parts, but the outer package in part humid (in the end without consequences)...printer assembly in 6-7h (with videos on delivered cd) 2h for calibration (adherence problem)...but very happy with my first successful print...

Amazing printer with exceptional quality. Got it on time without any inconvenience! It assembled effortlessly without any special effort with simple DIY hacks. I just love this printer for its unparalleled performance and ease.

I have used it to print thin layers as 31 microns; it performed so smooth without any issue. With the Prusa i3, I have learnt how machine works.

A perfect startup printer for beginners who demands excellence at par. This low cost DIY printer balances an erector simplicity set with the power of costly desktop printer.

Delivery nn time and complete, installation material well explained and perform as well as a $2k unit.
