The printer just arrived a few days ago but we are experiencing issues with filament jamming, we had to call the customer support and they replaced the smart extruder. Right now the printer is printing fine and has got some decent prints but the error with the stock parts has really upset me.

The MakerBot Z18 has been a great addition to our business. We have been running the printer almost non-stop since purchasing it in the spring of 2014. We are mostly using the printer for prototyping but have also been creating final products. The swappable extruder is great but my favorite part of the printer has been the reliability, WiFi capability, and ease of use.

I am an engineer who uses 3d printers to make prototypes of automobiles; I have been using smaller Makerbot replicator printers which gave me pretty good output, but we were fed up having to joint 3d printed parts and the post processing needed was sucking our profits away. <p>Buying a MakerBot Replicator Z18 3D Printer is an expensive affair, and was certainly a difficult decision, but we are now glad we bought this. </p> <p>The printer is worth the price as it brings in great features to 3d printing that were unheard off. The printer works great with the Makerbot software and can be controlled using WIFI and onboard camera. </p> <p>We are really happy with the printer!!</p>

The printer is huge and has a great build platform, with features like cloud-enabled connectivity with MakerBot Desktop and Mobile apps, On board camera, Smart extruder, a year of MakerBot MakerCare Protection Plan it’s the most professional printer money can buy. <p>The Printer gives great quality prints with PLA but the company has to understand that at $6400 this is a real expensive printer. I expect the printer to print with a lot more material than just PLA.</p>

As an engineer, the Z18 is great for printing accurately scaled models. It's half the cost of any other 3D printer that extrudes as large of models or as hi-res. The convenience is also great. I've been able to print via wifi and monitor my prints from the onboard camera.
